Ah, the Oilers. I still loathe them for their success against the Sharks in the second round in 2006, for Pronger, for sitting on Vesa, and sometimes for being hard to anthropomorphize successfully without totally invoking Hexxus or the black tar dude from ST:TNG. I just don't like them. And really since 2006, I haven't had much reason to hate them, they've kinda sucked. Ok, they really sucked, but old habits die hard and once the season starts I pretty much loathe the entirety of the non Teal wearing Western Conference.
Tonight won't bring us a triple OT game, but it will bring us a chance for Taylor Hall to score his first ever NHL goal. Since he's facing the Sharks, odds are quite good that he will do just that. The Sharks are annoyingly reliable about letting players get their first NHL goal. It's good to be polite and all, but we don't have to be THAT polite!
Once again the Universe has the Sharks and Giants playing on the same night. Is there enough mojo for both teams to win? I think so. So let's do it.
