Sharks v Blues

It's been a bumpy ride for the Sharks so far this year in stark contrast to the relatively successful Blues. Being down a considerable number of men didn't exactly help the Blues, but it was a huge advantage for the Sharks, who need the points to regain a solid foothold in playoff contention in the West. Coming off an OT win against Dallas the hope was that the Sharks could put together a mini streak and take the last game of their road trip.

The game was in that, while it was a good game, the entire thing looked slow. The crowd in St.Louis was unusally quiet, and despite 3 fights in the first, you'd have thought it was an early October game by how quiet it was.

Ryane Clowe was a beast, as always. He had an assist and a fight, and one could smell a Gordie Howe hat trick looming on the horizon. Logan Couture was AMAZING. TEETH alllllll over the place! And I'm not talking chiclets on the ice, no sir. He was like BOOM imma gonna score on you over here and zomg look at me imma gonna score on your again from over here hahahahahaha. Couture, Calder, do it.

Vlasic got in on the scoring too, proving that he is, indeed, off the schnide. Seto and his newly bald head scored as well, cemetening the fact that that man should never have hair during the season.

The loan goal by the Blues was scored by Inglorious Backes on a penalty shot. Nitty played it like it was a shoot out, and while he made the initial stop, the puck then bounced off a pad, then a skate, and in. The odds of that happening twice are insanely low, but once was enough to make Sharks fans hold their breath. Letting the Blues back in the game would be a really bad idea. The Blues gained some momentum after that goal. but it was not sustained.

The Sharks play the Oilers next on Tuesday. Get your umbrellas ready if you're hitting the game. It's gonna be wet out!
